Healthy Food and Good Wine is a biennial wine tasting event that brings together business, social and medical communities in a festive setting for the benefit of the St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation. The brainchild of Pierre Keitges, MD, founder of Physician's Reference Laboratory, the spring event sprouted in 1996 and alternates with the Lily Ball, another major fundraiser for the medical center. Through the years, the event has raised funds for the expansions of the Emergency Room, the Seniors Clinic, Breast Center, Pain Clinic and Carondelet Heart Institute as well as supported our Mission Fund providing assistance for patients with financial assistance for the uninsured and underinsured.
